Paul and his wife Maree are the Senior Pastors and founders of LIFE, a church that has grown to become an influential ministry both nationally and internationally. Established in the heart of New Zealand’s largest city, LIFE has continued to grow and is now situated in six locations throughout Auckland - Central, South, Coast, East, West, and Snell’s Beach. ABOUT "THE AGAPE PROJECT"
Agape (pronounced a-gar-pay) is a Greek word. Actually it’s an ancient Greek word. And it’s not a weird philosophy, or a new way of thinking, but it does have the power to transform your life.Agape is love. But it’s not love as we so often describe it. We often talk about love as something we are trying to find by pursuing an emotional relationship with someone, but we even use love to describe the way we feel about our favourite sandwich spread, or our most comfortable pair of shoes.
But agape is talking about something much deeper than this. We are so often disappointed by love, because the deepest and most profound kind of love is not one that we experience by getting, but one we experience by giving.
The outworking of the Agape project so far has been the production of some great looking cards. These cards are emerging all over the place and the idea behind it is that you purchase an Agape card and do an act of kindness for someone, leaving behind the Agape card. Our prayer is that the Holy Spirit will work on the individual to be intrequed to go to the website on the card and discover there is a God who is all about Agape love. This is something simple that we can all do and be a part of.
The greatest thing I love about "The Agape Project" is that it isn't attached to any church, it is simply a tool for the whole church to use. Lets be a part of something bigger than ourselves.
